Our story
Who we are
Velmont Chambers is a boutique law practice built on a simple belief: businesses deserve counsel who understand how they actually operate, not just what the law says. Our advocates have been practising since 2017, advising founders, brands and growing businesses on commercial contracts, intellectual property, data protection, regulatory matters and disputes.
We work with early-stage startups, creative studios, consumer brands and established companies, often as an extension of their own team. Some clients come to us for a single filing or contract; many stay with us as their outside general counsel, relying on us for the day-to-day legal questions that come with growth.
From our base in India, we act on matters across the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, the UAE, the European Union and Singapore. Technology is built into how every matter is researched, drafted and managed, so clients get faster turnarounds, predictable costs and advice written in plain language they can act on.

Akash Mehrotra
FOUNDER, VELMONT CHAMBERS
Akash is an advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of India and has been in practice since 2017. His work spans trademark strategy and prosecution, commercial contracts, data protection and technology law, as well as dispute resolution and litigation, from legal notices and negotiation through to court proceedings. He regularly handles filings before the Indian Trade Marks Registry, the USPTO, the UKIPO and CIPO, and advises clients on privacy compliance under India's DPDP Act, the GDPR and the CCPA.
